Earlier today we gave you a glimpse into the Numark made video game controller for the game Scratch: The Ultimate Dj, just a few hours later we find out there’s another dj video game on the way called Dj Hero. The interesting thing about this game is it is owned by Activision, which is the same company that publishes the popular Rockband and Guitar Hero titles and Scratch: The Ultimate Dj is being developed by Genius Products -a DVD distributer that hasn’t made a video game ever. Activision, which has grossed into the billions from their music games, wants to stop Scratch: The Ultimate Dj from being made or at least going to market first and has even tried to do this by buying out Genius Products. When that failed, Activision successfully acquired Genius Products’ developers 7 Digital. A whole law suit was brought, and eventually the judge ruled that Genius Products should gets its source code back for the game. Both games are scheduled for a release later in the fourth quarter, so it remains to be seen who will get the title of best dj video game.
